Feed Water Heater Manufacturer — HP and LP Heaters for Power Generation

industrial feedwater heater for power generation

New Field designs and manufactures high-performance low-pressure and high-pressure feedwater heaters for the power generation industry, where long-term reliability, optimum thermal efficiency and precise delivery schedules are critical. Engineered for thermoelectric and nuclear power plant applications, our feedwater heaters are built to withstand demanding operating conditions while supporting plant efficiency and dependable service life.

With proven expertise in both basic and detailed engineering, New Field undertakes vibration, stress and fatigue analysis to enhance equipment integrity and provide customers with greater confidence in long-term performance.

All New Field feedwater heaters are designed in accordance with HEI standards, TEMA and ASME Section VIII. Using advanced thermal-hydraulic and mechanical design software, we engineer each heater to meet its exact process duty, operating conditions and plant layout requirements. Feedwater heaters can be supplied in either horizontal or vertical configurations, depending on the specific needs of the installation.

Heat Transfer Zones

Each New Field feedwater heater may incorporate one or more dedicated heat transfer zones to optimise performance and meet plant-specific thermal requirements.

Condensing Zone

Included in all feedwater heaters, the condensing zone enables steam condensation and the removal of non-condensable gases, supporting efficient heat transfer and stable operation.

Drain Cooling Zone

The drain cooling zone reduces the temperature of condensate leaving the condensing section to below saturation temperature. New Field can provide both full-flow and partial-flow drain cooling arrangements, which can be incorporated into horizontal or vertical heater designs as required.

DE superheating Zone

The DE superheating zone is engineered to manage superheated steam conditions while minimising thermal stress. Floating designs and protective tubesheet shielding help safeguard critical components, while all operating cases are carefully analysed to prevent wet-wall conditions. DE superheating zones can be integrated into both horizontal and vertical heaters to suit plant requirements.

Engineered for Demanding Power Plant Service

Feedwater heaters are among the most critical and demanding shell and tube heat exchanger applications in a power plant. They must deliver dependable performance over many years of continuous and often rigorous service. New Field understands these requirements and designs feedwater heaters for durability, efficiency and long-term operational stability.

Our heaters are developed for specific thermal duties and manufactured to meet precise plant requirements, including sophisticated applications involving extreme superheat, abnormal flow conditions and the dissipation of high-energy fluids. From installation and testing through to full-load and part-load operation, New Field provides practical engineering solutions that help maintain peak heater performance throughout the equipment lifecycle.

Advanced Design and Manufacturing Capability

New Field offers a broad range of design configurations for DE superheating and drains cooler zones, together with advanced channel closure techniques to support reliable operation, inspection and maintenance. Our engineers work closely with customers to define the correct design parameters and assess their impact on overall plant performance.

With over five decades of experience serving the power generation industry, New Field has earned a strong reputation for quality, technical capability and dependable heat transfer equipment. From engineering and manufacturing through to installation support and long-term operation, our feedwater heaters are designed to deliver lasting value in critical power plant applications.
